THE COMPANY
In 1966 the company was established by Heinz Dieter Bauer, Executive Managing Director, starting off as a one-man business. It is under his leadership that Bauer GmbH has developed into one of the most important manufacturers with more than 200 employees.

The company originally had a production floorage area of 3,500 m² and has today 65,000 m² in total; of which at present 30,500 m² are under cover. Initially Bauer manufactured mostly transport equipment, specializing in attachments for the fork-lift truck as of 1971. In 1985 the first products for the environmental protection sector were manufactured.
In 1993 a second production site was established in Halberstadt (Sachsen-Anhalt). The inauguration of a second paint shop and the Logistic Centre in Südlohn set the course for a successful future.
