An excerpt from the German Federal Water Act ("WHG" §19) - Any work facilities dealing with materials that pose a potential threat to ground water i.e. storage, filling, production, treatment or use of any such products must be designed and equipped to avoid polluting water or have any other detrimental effect on its characteristics.

Construction Approval
Our retention basins are manufactured in
accordance with "StawaR" - the German
technical requirements for retention basins made
of steel. Any retention basin that deviates from
these requirements is covered by one of our
general construction approvals issued by the
DIBt (German Institute for Technical
Construction)

Retention Volume
A retention basin must be able to retain the
volume of the largest packaging unit or at least
10% of the total volume stored - whatever the
greater. NB: in water protection areas the entire
volume must retained i.e. 100%! |
